The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, participated in the “Women, Peace and Security” meeting, organized by the US Department of State, at the start of the NATO summit.

Minister Hasani reiterated that Albania is fully committed to increasing accountability in relation to the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda.

The Albanian chief diplomat praised the heroic resistance of Ukrainian women against Russia’s aggression.

The meeting aimed to address new challenges of the changed security environment, such as Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine, terrorist threats, other challenges of the security environment, such as climate change that has a particular impact on women, and new technologies.
